The Morgan County Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Harlem 35-21. This was payback for Morgan County, who suffered a 34-17 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Harlem still got an impressive performance from Ethan Evangelista, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 145 yards and a touchdown.
Morgan County's win was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. As for Harlem, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
