The Red Bank Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 64-56 victory over Signal Mountain. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Anthony Bonner, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's played. Jaylen Rice was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Red Bank is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Signal Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Bank will take on the Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loudon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Lions are ranked 69th). As for Signal Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against the Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
