The North Muskegon Norsemen will venture away from home to square off against the Orchard View Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Muskegon will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
North Muskegon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Hart 18-1 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Kylan Nielsen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, North Muskegon got a massive performance out of Charlie Meyers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those three hits gave Meyers a new career-high. Bronson Hurst was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
North Muskegon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Orchard View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Whitehall, falling 13-1.
Orchard View's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for North Muskegon, their record is now 11-2.
Orchard View's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. North Muskegon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Orchard View, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will North Muskegon keep running through batters, or will the Cardinals buck the trend?
