Given Oklahoma F's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while KIPP Tulsa University Prep is ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mingo Valley Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 72-67 victory over KIPP Tulsa University Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Isaiah McLemore, who scored 28 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mingo Valley Christian's points. Tyler Neal was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Oklahoma F has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.
