The Central Wise Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 84-46 victory over Lee at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-16.
When it comes to explaining why Lee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brynnen Pendergraft. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Pendergraft hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Konner Early, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Central Wise's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Lee, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Central Wise won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ridgeview on January 27th. Ridgeview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lee, they will head out on the road to square off against Gate City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gate City will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
