Gillespie has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Carlinville Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Gillespie came up short against Carlinville and fell 43-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gillespie has scored all season.
Gillespie has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Carlinville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Gillespie came up short against Carlinville when the teams last played on Thursday, falling 43-31. Can Gillespie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
