In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Davidson, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Reese Pfingstler was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
DuBois Central Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
DuBois Central Catholic pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Kane, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
