Frederick A. Douglass made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bobcats blew past the Bulldogs 14-5 on Wednesday. Considering the Bobcats have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Frederick A. Douglass' win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick A. Douglass will head out to square off against Warren Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, they will take on Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
