Washington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Wright, who threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Those 190 passing yards gave Wright a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Cordell Turner, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Washington didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Boonville to a completion percentage of just 45.9%. The team can thank Benjamin Merold for the heroic effort on defense: he. Washington wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 70%.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 14 in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Turner, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
