Naperville Central is 8-2 against Waubonsie Valley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Redhawks will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Naperville Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Naperville Central not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 15-0). They put the hurt on Metea Valley with a sharp 14-3 victory.

Shea Meech made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Riley Silvers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted over her last ten matches. Reese Henige also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Waubonsie Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montini Catholic.
Samantha Hughes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Riggs, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Waubonsie Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Naperville Central, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Waubonsie Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Naperville Central has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Waubonsie Valley, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Naperville Central's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
