With a playoff win on the line, Milan rose to the challenge on Monday. They put the hurt on the Trinity Lutheran Cougars with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Kynadee Bode made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Bledsoe, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Caroline McMillan was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The win was the fourth in a row for Milan, bringing their record up to 23-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Milan nor Trinity Lutheran have any future games scheduled.
