Despite the loss, The Academy still got an impressive performance from Rylyn Romero, who scored 26 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kent Denver to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anya Peper, who scored 24 points along with five steals. Peper hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Austin Duncan, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds.
The Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Kent Denver, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

The Academy is coming into the match with three straight defeats at home, meaning Jefferson Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Kent Denver will take on Eagle Ridge Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Kent Denver's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Eagle Ridge Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
