The Valley Regional Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a 67-42 loss courtesy of Haddam-Killingworth. Valley Regional lost against Haddam-Killingworth in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-48 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Valley Regional lost, one person who can't be blamed is Conor Quinn. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rex Grabowski, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Valley Regional's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Haddam-Killingworth, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Regional will take on Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Valley Regional likes a good challenge. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cromwell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
