Baseball Recap: McAllen Comes Up Short

McAllen came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pioneer Diamondbacks by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Diamondbacks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Sean Lara was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Maddox Braxton also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

McAllen's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-3. As for Pioneer, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

While McAllen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
