Bell Creek Academy had won two straight games and Aliah Newsome did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Bell Creek Academy Panthers took their match with ease, bagging a 67-26 win over Gulf Coast HEAT thanks in part to Newsome, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 12 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.
The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslyn Easley, who posted ten points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.
Despite the loss, Gulf Coast HEAT saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenna Baker put up 17 points.
Bell Creek Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.
