The Central Eagles won the last time they faced the Chesterfield Golden Rams, and things went their way on Friday too. Central enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Chesterfield.
Leading Central to victory were Tazhir Webber and Caden Edmond. Webber scored 18 points along with six assists, while Edmond scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Edmond has scored at least a third of Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Miller, who scored six points.
Central's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Chesterfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.
Central will square off against Cheraw at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Cheraw is ranked 226th, while Central is ranked 215th). As for Chesterfield, they will be playing at home against York Prep at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. York Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
