Northwest can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 61-56 W over the Western Panthers. The Mounties' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Northwest's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Northwest and Chelsea will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northwest is facing Chelsea at the right time seeing as Chelsea is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Western, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Western Panthers face off against the Michigan Center Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Michigan Center knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
