Harrison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Poughkeepsie Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After soaring to 60 points the game before, Harrison were a bit more limited in their contest last Saturday. They were dealt a 66-21 defeat at the hands of Pelham Memorial. While losing is never fun, Harrison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while Pelham Memorial is ranked 199th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-53, which was the final score in Poughkeepsie's tilt against Green Tech on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Poughkeepsie in their matchups with Green Tech: they've now lost four in a row.
Harrison bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Poughkeepsie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
