It was a good run, but the Wright City Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 63-37 defeat at the hands of North Callaway. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wright City in their matchups with North Callaway: they've now lost five in a row.
Sam Pezold continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Callaway, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Craighead, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Wright City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for North Callaway, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.
Wright City will take on Van-Far at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Callaway, they will square off against Sacred Heart at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully North Callaway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
