The Strasburg Indians's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Brush Beetdiggers at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Strasburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Brush likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Strasburg gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They really took it to Frontier Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-47 win on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-15.
Strasburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyce Bollers led the charge by scoring 24 points along with two steals. Bollers has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Austin Velasco was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Brush suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Timnath 53-16. Brush was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.
Strasburg pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points per game. As for Brush, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Strasburg came up short against Brush when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 49-39. Can Strasburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
