After losing to the Peru Nighthawks the last time they met, the Brushton-Moira Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Brushton-Moira enjoyed a cozy 48-32 win over Peru on Wednesday.
Peru lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas Allen, who scored nine points. Zack Engstom was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Brushton-Moira now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Peru, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brushton-Moira will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. As for Peru, they will head out on the road to face off against Saranac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
