Mohave is 0-5 against Bradshaw Mountain since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Thunderbirds will host the Bears at 7:00 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 951 yards in their previous games.
Last Friday, Mohave came up short against Coconino and fell 35-22. The Thunderbirds gained 213 more yards on the day, but it was the Panthers that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Mohave got top-tier performance from Joe Yoney, who rushed for 199 yards on only 14 carries, and also threw for 204 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Yoney is now averaging an impressive 102.5 rushing yards per game. Trison Urias was another key player, gaining 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
Mohave didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Yoney and Alejandro Ruiz.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bradshaw Mountain). They blew past Mingus 59-0 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Marauders: they've now won seven in a row.
Mohave better keep an eye on Kylin Jackson. He was instrumental in Bradshaw Mountain's win, rushing for 152 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. What's more, he's the matchup marked his tenth straight with at least 102 dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Izak Ricketts, who rushed for 90 yards and one score on only ten carries.
Bradshaw Mountain's run defense was locked in: Mingus could only muster -0.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Alexzander Mendibles for the heroic effort on defense: he. The dominant display was nothing new: Bradshaw Mountain has now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive games.
Bradshaw Mountain's defense didn't let Hunter Bejarano., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Mingus' QB won't forget Mendibles anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Mendibles also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.
Having lost for the first time this season, Mohave fell to 3-1. As for Bradshaw Mountain, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Mohave has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 253.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bradshaw Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 240.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Mohave took a serious blow against Bradshaw Mountain in their previous matchup back in October of 2020, falling 56-0. Thankfully for the Thunderbirds, Josh Grant (who threw for 219 yards and four TDs on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
