Baseball Recap: Nanih Waiya Takes a Loss

Nanih Waiya lost against French Camp Academy last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nanih Waiya Warriors lost 19-9 to the French Camp Academy Panthers. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Caysen Dewberry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Sanjiya Hickman also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Nanih Waiya's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for French Camp Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Nanih Waiya has already played their next game (against Scott Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for French Camp Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Calhoun City on the 8th.
