Basketball Recap: Pitkin Skates Past Buckeye with Ease

Pitkin lost to Buckeye back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Pitkin Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buckeye Panthers 63-34. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Pitkin is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Buckeye, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pitkin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Glenmora at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Buckeye also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Holy Savior Menard at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
