The Grapevine Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-42 walloping at the hands of Pinkston. Grapevine was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pinkston apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Grapevine lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Sowell. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Lowack, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds.
Grapevine has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Pinkston, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Grapevine will head out on the road to face off against Lake Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 413 points over their last six matchups. Pinkston is on the road again on Thursday and play against ILTexas Arlington.
