For Western Boone, this counts as revenge for the 61-47 loss Southmont walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November.
Western Boone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ki'erra Koch, who scored 18 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Koch scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ally Lewis, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Western Boone's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Southmont, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Western Boone will take on Lewis Cass in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at. Lewis Cass is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Southmont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
