The Centennial Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Heritage Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
On Friday, Centennial earned a 3-1 win over Emerson.
Centennial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Heritage posted their closest victory since August 23rd on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past Lebanon Trail 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Trail Blazers: they've now won three in a row.
Heritage was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (101-100), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-10.
Centennial better focus on containing Candace Jones and Skylar Leonard as the pair were huge in Heritage's win. Jones had 18 digs and three aces, while Leonard had 13 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Leonard a new career-high in assists (three).
Heritage was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Centennial's record is now 21-7. As for Heritage, their record now sits at 15-11.
Centennial came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
