Eastmark proved they can win big  last Saturday (they won by nine) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cactus Shadows Falcons, sneaking past  6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Firebirds sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Makenzie Bozeman was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also put up a  triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Ella Larned, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Eastmark was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matches.
Eastmark pushed their record up to 8-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
