In what's become a running theme this season, the Hemlock Huskies gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-23 win over Bullock Creek on the road. Winning may never get old, but Hemlock sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Hemlock was led to victory by Carly Siler and Hannah Borsenik. Siler scored 17 points along with four steals, while Borsenik scored 16 points along with five steals and five blocks. That's the first time this season that Borsenik scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Hauffe, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Hemlock's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Bullock Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hemlock will take on Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ithaca will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Hemlock is ranked 33rd). As for Bullock Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
