The Dieterich Movin Maroons suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Brownstown. Dieterich was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brownstown apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Dieterich had strong showings from Addison Miller, who scored 12 points along with two blocks, and Sammi Goebel, who scored eight points. That's the first time this season that Miller posted two or more blocks.
Dieterich has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season. As for Brownstown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dieterich will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sandoval at 6:15 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Brownstown, they will square off against Ramsey at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
