On Friday, The Windsor Academy Knights faced the Westminster Christian Academy Lions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Windsor Academy took their game at home with ease, bagging a 51-6 victory over Westminster Christian Academy. Considering Windsor Academy has won five matchups by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Jay Singleton, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Singleton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Another player making a difference was Mason Merritt, who threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Windsor Academy, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6.
Windsor Academy will take on Holy Spirit Prep at TBD on Friday. Holy Spirit Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 363 points over their last seven matchups. Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
