Obie Taylor made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Solebury got a massive performance out of Will Saltzman, who went 3-for-6 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Saltzman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Laith Baeringer, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Solebury was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Solebury's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Mesivta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
