WAYCROSS, Ga. - the Gators scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 49-0 victory over Effingham County (Springfield, Ga.) on Saturday.
Ware County scored on a touchdown pass by
Jammar Johnson to
Quan Bannaman, a Johnson touchdown run, a defensive touchdown and a touchdown run by
Xavier Tobler in the quarter.
WC was up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Tobler in the first quarter.
The Waycross school expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Gators' lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run.
With the win Ware County extended its winning streak to nine games. WC defeated the Tigers 39-6 last week.
Tobler stood out for the Gators in the win. The senior ran for two touchdowns.
Ware County went into the matchup giving up only 9.2 points per game.
The loss comes after Effingham County defeated Groves 28-12 last week.
