The Chamberlain Storm's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gaither. Chamberlain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gaither apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Chamberlain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dijon Vaughn-Dixon. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kmar Johnson, who scored nine points.
It was another big night for Rico Kindred, who scored 21 points for Gaither. The team also got some help courtesy of Marc Fransberg, who scored eight points.
Chamberlain has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Gaither, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.
Chamberlain will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverview at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Gaither will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Sumner at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
