Wakefield will challenge Waverly on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Waverly will need to watch out since Wakefield have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Wakefield, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They put a hurting on Marais des Cygnes Valley to the tune of 58-8. Senior Skylur Merritt was the offensive standout of the match for Wakefield, as he rushed for 158 yards and 4 touchdowns. Merritt has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, Waverly might be getting used to good results now that the squad has five wins in a row. They steamrollered Hartford 52-6. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Waverly, who can brag about six blowout wins.
Their wins bumped Waverly to 6-1 and Wakefield to 3-4. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
