Pelham lost against Hazel Green back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sydney Hill, who had seven digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilia Couture, who had six digs and two aces.

Pelham's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Hazel Green, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Pelham will host Chilton County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hazel Green, they will head out on the road to take on New Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
