The Ashbrook Greenwave typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Crest Chargers proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 67-62 victory over the Greenwave. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Aj Adams, who scored 27 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of D'various Surratt, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Crest's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Ashbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-4.
Crest's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Storm at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Stuart W. Cramer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Chargers are ranked 47th). As for Ashbrook, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Forestview is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
