While Petal put up some  runs on Tuesday, the same  can't be said for Biloxi. The Petal Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  1-0  win over the Biloxi Indians. The one-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring  contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 Kaleb Dillon looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Petal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Dawson Dykes, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases. That's the most  stolen bases  Dykes has posted since back in April of 2024.  Tanner Beliveau also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Petal pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs over those games. As for Biloxi, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Petal will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lafayette at 7:00  p.m.  on March 10th. As for Biloxi, they will head out to  face off against Pearl River Central  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
