The Rivercrest Colts will face off against the Arkadelphia Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rivercrest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Arkadelphia likes a good challenge.
Rivercrest had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let Gravette onto the board and left with a 40-0 victory on Friday. Considering Rivercrest has won eight matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Koby Turner, who rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Turner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Meanwhile, Arkadelphia entered their tilt with Mayflower with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Arkadelphia enjoyed a cozy 22-7 victory over Mayflower on Friday.
Their wins bumped Rivercrest to 10-2 and Gravette to 7-5.
Rivercrest took a serious blow against Arkadelphia in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 48-13. Can Rivercrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
