It was a good run, but the Arcanum Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Franklin Monroe. The matchup was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but Arcanum couldn't quite close it out.
Despite the defeat, Arcanum saw an underclassman step up: Regan Christ dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Brady Lock was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Arcanum's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Franklin Monroe, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Arcanum will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin Monroe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
