Evergreen has gone a perfect 4-0 against Pomona recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Evergreen will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Evergreen duked it out with Littleton on Saturday. The Cougars skirted past the Lions 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted against the Lions since May 27, 2021.
Cole Laursen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Brody March was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brecken Worthington was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Pomona fell victim to Golden and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Demons. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost four in a row.
Evergreen pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pomona, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Pomona's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Evergreen has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Pomona, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Evergreen's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Evergreen took their win against Pomona in their previous meeting on April 9th by a conclusive 11-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
