Cooper City pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miramar.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pompano Beach ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They slipped by Miami Beach 67-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jonathan Berwig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Rowan, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Pompano Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.
