This season hasn't been kind to the Flandreau Indian Indians, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 76-8 defeat at the hands of Lower Brule on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Flandreau Indian has scored all season.
Lane Gray was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight steals and six rebounds for Lower Brule. Another player making a difference was Peyton Palmier, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Flandreau Indian's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lower Brule, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Flandreau Indian will square off against Crazy Horse at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Lower Brule on the road again on Thursday and play against Takini at 1:30 p.m. on January 25th. Takini will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
