Atlee has gone 7-1 against Deep Run recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Deep Run will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Atlee extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Raiders never let Varina get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. With that win, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.
Myka Beach looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Ava Carter was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Leah Austin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.
Atlee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .853. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Deep Run hadn't done well against Mechanicsville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Mustangs. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 12 runs or more this season.
Hope Tate was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Deep Run got a massive performance out of Gabby Chrapek, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Emily Plank was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Deep Run's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Atlee, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Atlee has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Deep Run struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Atlee couldn't quite get it done against Deep Run in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Will the Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
