The Milan Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of South Dearborn by a score of 63-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading South Dearborn to victory were Hudson Shackelford and Scout Gray. Shackelford scored 16 points, while Gray scored 17 points along with five steals. Peyton Hill was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Milan dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for South Dearborn, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will take on Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hauserpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Milan in Indiana (Hauser is ranked 154th, while Milan is ranked 395th). South Dearborn will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on February 16th. Hopefully South Dearborn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
