AA District 11 recap November 5, 2013
Lewis County extended the longest winning streak in AA District 11 this week by beating Montgomery Central, 43-10. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Panthers.
Hickman County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Roberts threw for 148 and 3 touchdowns and Logan Hill had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Hayden Dearman chipped in 94 yards. Morgan Patton helped Hickman County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 41 yards.
He was 9-13 with 0 interceptions.
Dearman was the best running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 94 yards as the Bulldogs beat Stewart County. Teammate Roberts added to the ground attack by rushing for 12 yards.
Hickman County's Roberts and Hill led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roberts has thrown for 1,202 yards this season, while Hill has 23 catches for 608 yards. Lewis County's Lucas Graham leads the league in rushing yards with 1,056.
East Hickman County made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,145 from 5,378. The advance stemmed from a 44-27 victory over Mt. Pleasant last week.
