Softball Recap: Pomeroy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Rosalia

Pomeroy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 15-12 to the Rosalia Spartans. One positive for the Pirates, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Kendyl Potoshnik was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Caroline McKernain was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Even though they lost, Pomeroy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pomeroy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. Rosalia has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

While Pomeroy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
