Clarinda fought the good fight in their overtime match on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the team lost 20-21 to Atlantic. If Clarinda were expecting to get some payback for the 0-40 loss against Atlantic the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. The game brought Atlantic to 2-1 and dropped Clarinda to a mirror-image 1-2.
Clarinda will look to defend their home turf next week against Corning at 7:00 PM. As for Atlantic, they will face off against Harlan.
