The Central Jaguars will head out to square off against the Jay Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Central came out on top against West Florida Baptist Academy on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Conquerors with a sharp 13-3 win. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Tristan Pack looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Central got a massive performance out of Jayden Joyner, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Joyner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Gandy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Jay fell victim to West Florida and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 6-0. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Central, their record is now 8-3.

Central couldn't quite get it done against Jay in their previous meeting back in February as they fell 4-0. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
