Meadowbrook struggled with threes on Wednesday (the Panthers had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Meadowbrook was dealt a 82-31 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Meadowbrook was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-21.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Colton Delancey, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Michael Ray was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, John Glenn was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 53-49 to the Generals. John Glenn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, John Glenn saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Davis dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Briggs, who scored nine points.
Meadowbrook dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for John Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Meadowbrook have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 22.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like John Glenn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Meadowbrook was dealt a bruising 72-33 loss at the hands of the Little Muskies in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Meadowbrook was down 47-16.
